It's Been a While

First off, I need to apologize for not updating my Blog over the past couple of months. Life has been hectic! We are trying to get custody of a baby, Grayson. We've had him here, off and on, since the beginning of January. It's a tough battle, but in the end it will be great for all of us. Michael started his new job as the manager of the new Biscuit in Sandy Springs. Now we both work long hours & early morning shifts. Providing daycare for Grayson hasn't been easy, since we both usually leave home around 4am. But... we found a great daycare provider that has been able to work around our schedules.

Grayson turned 17 months old this week and it's time for him to have his own room. I did some online research yesterday and found some really cute bedroom furniture for little boys. I can't wait to get his room all fixed up and cute! It will be nice for him to have his own dresser- right now we have clothes tucked away in every nook and cranny we can find. And toys!!!! They are everywhere! His playpen is so full of toys that there is barely room for him the there! I want to get him a toy box of his own-- somewhere he can learn to go to look whenever he wants to play with something, instead of it all lying in one pile in the playpen.

Fixing Grayson's room will be a project. The room needs to be cleaned out-- existing furniture taken to storage, walls need to be painted, floors scrubbed, etc. It will be worth it though... it will be cool for Grayson to have a room of his own. He's never even had a bed of his own. We're looking forward to having our bedroom back, too! It's not a lot of fun to have a squirming baby between us every night!

The front yard is starting to look incredible! All of the bulbs I planted last Fall are coming up and beginning to bloom! I planted about 400 jonquils and they are in full bloom already. I also planted a few hundred tulips (all different colors) and they are up and budding now... any day now they'll begin to bloom! I love Spring! It's probably my favorite season-- everything is new and beautiful! It's hard to believe that a couple of weeks ago everything was covered in snow!
